Love of learning
In Key Stage 1 we build on the skills introduced in the Early Years Foundation Stage. Each child is individually nurtured, in small classes, by enthusiastic and dedicated Staff, each with a full time Teaching Assistant.
From Form 1 the children are given the stimulation of a broad range of experiences including a variety of educational visits away from school as well as visitors coming in to the school. Their love of learning is encouraged and children are energised by the positive exciting experiences created by these opportunities.

By the time our pupils reach Form 2, their experience of our extensive parkland estate enables them to explore the curriculum in a wide variety of practical activities. This allows our children to flourish in confidence and independence in readiness for SATs tests which come at the end of Key Stage 1.
In 2010 the Independent Schools’ Inspectorate found
‘Pupils achieve high standards and make good progress for their ability. All pupils are well motivated, resourceful and show initiative and independence from an early age’
Our Staff includes specialist teachers who provide further opportunities for the children to develop in Music and Sport. Thus our teaching includes – but also extends far beyond – the requirements of the National Curriculum.
