Highfields School is led by the Headteacher, Mrs C L Fraser, who reports to the Board of Governors which meets at least once per term. Co-opted onto this Committee, without voting rights, are the Headteacher, a teacher representative and the Business Manager who also serves as Clerk to the Governors.
There is no requirement that a Governor has to have, or to have had, children at the School. The mix of occupations provides assistance in much of their work which covers personnel, marketing, the School buildings and supplies, finance and strategy. Currently we have a business consultant, a retired school inspector, a doctor, an accountant and a deputy headteacher (from a different school).
The Board seeks to maintain excellent relationships with Parents and keeps Parents up to date through the Parent Governors and the School Newsletter.
