Statement of Aims
The School is a successful, happy, lively, caring community that allows the children to experience a sense of pride and fulfilment that comes from working to their full potential. Basic subjects need to be mastered but children learn to react in different ways and need to be treated as individuals. Personal responsibility, initiative, good manners and smart appearance are encouraged.
Highfields is a family school with strong values and traditions. These have served us well in the past and we are sure they will continue to serve future generations of Highfields children equally well in the future. The School’s aim is that the children in our care should achieve the highest possible standards conversant with their age and ability.
Delivered through a broad-based education appropriate to the children’s needs, are that the pupils:
- acquire the knowledge and skills that enable them to tackle the next phase of their educational, physical, spiritual, social and emotional lives with confidence and success;
- feel valued and significant, whilst having an expectation that they should behave in a responsible manner, both to themselves and others;
- develop the foundations on which to build a happy and fulfilling life;
- develop as individuals whilst having an understanding that they have a responsibility of service to their community;
- respect and care for their own and others’ property.
