2012 School Ball

2012 Schooll BallThe 2012 Highfields PTA School Ball will be held on Friday 15th June 2012.

It is going to be a glamorous, beautiful and elegant event. It is being designed with the clear aim that this will be THE Calendar Event of the Highfields’ year, every year.

The Ball will be held at Stubton Hall, http://www.stubtonhall.co.uk a couple of miles south of the  school. Stubton Hall is a 19th century country house set in 24 acres of enchanting parkland and gardens. It is beautifully presented and recently refurbished to a very high standard. We have exclusive use of the whole Hall for the evening, including all rooms, terraces and gardens.

In order to deliver the kind of night we hear you want, and one which will enable you to relax, have fun, and also feel proud to be part of, we have priced the night at £75. This will be an event which you can feel confident to invite your friends, family and clients to.

For this price, you will get an evening of exceptional quality. There will be 3 choices of starters, 4 choices of mains, puddings, teas and coffees. Included in the price will be 4 bottles of fine wine, on the table as you take your seats for dinner. You will be able to select further wines and champagnes from the extensive Stubton wine list, alongside a Highfields wine choice which includes a donation
to PTA funds. There will also be 2 bars available, providing a wide selection of other alcoholic and soft drinks.

There will be a choice of entertainment, with a band in the Orangery and DJ in the music room. Their set lists will be carefully selected so the choices of tracks are brilliant for all. The evening will be topped with a fireworks display.

Official arrival is from 7pm, although the Hall and Grounds will be open from 6pm if you would like to arrive earlier to relax and take in the atmosphere, sit on the terrace, walk in the garden or chat in one of the many rooms available to us.

At everyone’s request, we will be running the ever popular and successful auction. The 2012 Auction will be a fast and furious affair, with lots of varied and fabulous items. Nothing too big or too small as we will also launch a secret bid auction prior to the night which is a successful and proven way to raise money for the School PTA, which thus directly benefits all our children. To tempt you, we
already have a week’s holiday home in Majorca on offer, 2 days free building labour at your home or office, 60 minutes of ‘Architect Your Home’ advice, a weeks internship at a top London West End Fashion Communications Company, a weeks internship at a London Major Record Label and this is only for starters…

We will not be asking you to pay £75 in one go, unless you prefer to. You may reserve your ticket with a £25 non refundable deposit and pay the remaining amount before the Easter Holidays 2012. This, we hope, will ensure that the Ball is open to all and will not dent any budget too badly – we are all parents too!

We would also like to offer you the chance to win the Bridal Suite to stay in for the night of the Ball for FREE! All you have to do is to go to the school office with your booking form and pay your deposit of £25 for your ticket and in return you will be given a raffle ticket. If you pay for your ticket in full, you will receive 3 raffle tickets. If you reserve a table of 10 you will get 10 raffle tickets. This raffle will be drawn on Friday 18th November 2011 so it really does pay to buy your place early!

For those parents whose ticket sadly is not the winning one, there are also limited rooms available to stay in – and they really are quite wonderful. This takes the pressure off the homeward trip, ensuring your night is totally relaxed. They will be sold on a first come, first served basis. If there is enough interest, we propose to have a party bus which will leave Newark Town Centre and stop at the school, Fernwood and Claypole and then make the return journey at the end of the Ball, all for a fraction of a taxi fare. We want you to have every confidence in your 2012 Ball and for it to serve as an advert for the School. This event will not let you down if you wish to bring guests, be they close friends, family, neighbours or even those clients at work you keep meaning to entertain. It is your school and your Ball. Most importantly we would like you to help us open up the school to potential parents. A successful Ball communicates the message that this is a positive, confident and happy school with positive, confident, happy parents and children!
